I am a writer and communications strategist focused on workforce communications.

I am a firm believer in the notion that empathy is at the heart of all effective communication. I also believe that being inquisitive is the best way to develop empathy, so curiosity is a very important part of my personal and professional life.

I have a long history of managing creative projects, writing and editing workforce communications, and developing and executing communication and staff engagement strategies. I use my experience in organizational behavior and change management to help drive change through planning, engagement, and communication. I am currently the Communications Specialist at a public hospital and clinic system providing essential health care to the underserved.

I started my career as a graphic designer and have enjoyed a range of creative positions including travel writer, editor, web designer, and marketer. A life-long learner, I enjoy having a career that allows me to combine multiple skills into one role.

I believe we are at our best when we can connect our personal values with the mission of an organization. I am always open to opportunities that allow me to make those connections for myself and help others do the same.

When I am not working, you can find me reading on my patio, hanging out at A Writing Room, enjoying a food and wine pairing in Sonoma, or fixated on a new puzzle.
